From the moment I learn about my pregnancy, I started calculating not only the babies' due date (not too worried coz my doc will do the job) but other key mile markers to expect throughout my pregnancy. For me, the completion of the first trimester was set on a loud ringtone on my cell phone calendar!. As my twin pregnancy week 13 concludes, I expect some of those dastardly symptoms of my first trimester to disappear. Most of the pregnancy books that I've read predict a resurgence of energy annd vigor at the beginning of the second trimester. Personally, nothing has change in the second trimester as I was in the first, at least till today. I totally knew that twin pregnancy is going to be a drain on my body. Still getting lots of rest. But most importantly, the onset of the second trimester does bring some reassurance that my pregnancy is according to plan.
Pelvic pain!!!! WT is probably right that twins weigh a little heavier on my cervix and a broken blood vessel occurs with greater frequency in twin pregnancies than with singletons. As early as 11 weeks, I started to feel some unexpected pressure on my pelvis...especially when I get up from bed. I figure that in weeks to come, I should minimize certain activities or probably do some modification. Will consult my doc this coming week.
Bosom itch! I've been getting itch all over my bosom since last week. This I learned, was the skin stretching. I guess it will pass once they've gotten as big as they're going to. I'm just overwhelmed by the need to just grab and scratch them! Sometimes, I just go ahead and do it! hehe....I believe no one is going to begrudge a soon-to-be mom of twins of anything...at times, my belly itch the same way...to me, the itchiness shows that my babies are actually growing.
Lastly, the joy that I get from rubbing my growing belly. I've seen pregnant ladies lovingly caressing their tummy. Now, it is my chance. Can't wait to sing to them or even read to them.
