April 28, 2008... Charissa has finally graduated from her 1st and ever cranial band. We have decided not to get a second band for her eventhough Lisa has got a prescription from Dr. Ohmstede. The appointment was set at 2:30pm and by 3pm, Charissa was band-free! I was so excited and decided to take a trip to the mid-town Target to get some stuff. The girls were supposed to take their nap on the way to Cranial Tech but both did not do so...even after Target, Charissa doesn't want to nap (but Cailynn did). So, when I reached home I took Charissa up to her room and put her down on her crib...she only fell asleep 10 minutes after that. I believe she was feeling excited herself and probably not use to not wearing the band for a longer period.
Before heading to Cranial Tech
Last night, she was doing quite okay. I thought she would make noise and refuse to sleep but she did great. The only thing that I need to do for the next 24-48 hours is to keep a close watch on her so that she won't anyhow bang her head.
This is how she looks like after the band
Her final appointment is set on May 13 for photo, measurement and casting (exit mold).

Exclusively for this blog, pic not posted anywhere else!
Charissa's hairstyle after wearing the band for almost 3 months, took 2 days to get back to normal
