Just got back from the Morehead Medical Plaza. It was a long OB visit for me. Supposed to have my ultrasound scan at 2pm but the sonographer was late for about 20 minutes and the doctor consultation was also late for 40 minutes........was told that they have a very big scheduling problem today. It doesn't affect me much because I have another appointment at the Diabetes center at 4:30pm. I have to wait anyway as I wasn't planning to go home and return to the medical plaza again.
Well, the ultrasound didn't go as well as I wanted....my babies are once again covering their faces with their hands! Adui!, why are they so shy.....so, didn't managed to get a good profile on them. But managed reconfirmed that they are in fact my little girls. Also, both of them have some hair grown on their head already, so cute!
Here are the summaries of how the three of us are doing:-
Baby A:
Age based on size: 32W2D
Weight: 4lbs
Heart rate: 141bpm
Position: Vertex i.e., head down (yahoo!!!! hope she stays that way)
Baby B:
Age based on size: 31W3D
Weight: 3lb 15oz
Heart rate: 157bpm
Position: Transverse i.e., lying sideway
Mummy:
Weight: 120.7lbs (increased 2lbs , same as 4 wks ago after 2lbs dropped 2 wks ago)
Blood Pressure: 97/57
Cervical length: 4cm (still very long)
Blood sugar: Very good
According to Dr Fisher, the chances of me having a vaginal delivery is very good at this point if Baby A stays head down. The babies are doing great, growing well eventhough their size is in the 37-38 percentile (compared to single baby in the womb). Also, I was told that it is not necessary for me to do a non-stress test since everything seems fine. He told me to hang on for another one month or so (till 36-38 weeks). By that time, the babies should be ready to see mummy!
