I promised in my earlier post that I will write about the girls' weekly playgroup. It all started with Dr Ohmstede asking me if I have brought the girls out for some fun and she actually told me that Mary Margaret is leading a playgroup every Monday. It happens that Dr Ohmstede and Mary Margaret knew each other (think they went to the same college) and I knew MM back in Fugua and her hubby is also working in Wachovia now. So, Dr Ohmstede gave my email to MM and she included me in the playgroup list.
So, the playgroup is held every Monday from 10:30am till like 12:30pm. I usually arrived at the host's hse around 11-ish. On that day, I usually bath the girls earlier and put them down for their morning nap half an hour earlier so that they will be awake around 10am to have their lunch. By the time they are done with lunch and change them, it will be around 10:45am. Loading them to the car-seat will take another 5-10 minutes or so...and the playgroup session is held in different homes every week, sometimes it can be quite far from my place (I wonder when is my turn to host, should check with MM about it next week). Till then, I should have more things to update coz hosting a playgroup is another experience by itself (have to prepare snacks and etc).
Basically, there are more than 10 mommies in the group now but each week, there are only 7-8 mommies attended. I am trying not to skip any of it so that the girls will get the most benefit out of it.
Playgroup session at MM's home. The boy in strips is Hill, MM's son and the other one in blue is John. Insert: Anderson Hardin, Noelle's son...the baby girl lying down is Raine, Lisa's 4 months old.
