Was at Dilworth Pediatric at 2:45pm for the girls appointments at 3pm and 3:30pm respectively. This time my in-laws were with me at the dr's office but they did not follow me into the well visit room...so, I was quite tiring after the whole thing....
First, the girls had their weight checked. Charissa is 14lbs 5oz while Cailynn is 16lbs 5 oz, arghhhh!!! what a world different between the twin girls. Charissa is half an inch taller than Cailynn (25 1/2 and 25) while Cailynn's head circumference is 43cm and Charissa is 42cm. Based on the growth chart, Charissa falls into the 20 percentile while Cailynn is 55 percentile.
Then Dr Ohmstede checked the girls...did the usual stuff like looking at their eyes, ears, abdomen and listen to their heartbeats. Both girls are doing fine except that Charissa needs to add 0.2ml for her reflux medication and she will have to go for Cranial consultation due to abnormal head shape. Other than that, the girls had their immunization jabs (1 oral and 3 jabs) ..one of the jab is flu shot. They will have to return in a month time to get their second flu shot. As expected...the girls were crying and screaming the moment the nurse sticked the needles into their thigh...ouch, I really felt for them.
When everything was done, I immediately brought them home...took out their jackets and put them to bed...they were soooo tired but even that, they only nap for half and hour and then they were back to normal...took their temp for a couple of times to make sure there is no fever. Cailynn was asleep around 8pm while Charissa nap for 10 minutes and now is still wide awake!!!No wonder Cailynn grow so well!
Their next well visit will be in March next year and their following immunization jabs will be at 1 year old....
