Went for my prenatal visit this morning and Dr Wolf was the one attending to me. She was very friendly and makes me felt so comfortable throughout my visit. Below is a summary of my testing and condition:
Blood Pressure: Normal
Urine: Normal
Iron: Normal
Weight: 115.4lbs (gained 6 pounds since 3 weeks ago and 20 pounds since the beginning, 20 more pounds to go!)
Belly size: Growing well, 2-3 weeks ahead of a singleton prenancy.
Babies Heartbeats: around 150bpm-160bpm
Checked with Dr Wolf about the rashes that developed with the itchiness on my belly. She mentioned that it should be fine and it is most likely to do with skin stretching. She confirmed that it is not a condition known as PUPPPS (a type of rashes that develop on the belly with excessive itchiness that can spread to other areas of the body). It was extremely itchy yesterday evening eventhough I've used several type of lotions, cold compress and Aveeno powder bath for itchiness. In the end, I tried the chinese prickly heat powder and it works....still itchy but not so bad. I guess, this condition will last for a while or even until delivery.
As for my swollen toes, I was told that it is indeed water retention and it is cause by the pressure of the babies on my uterus. Nothing to be alarmed! Well, everything seems fine and my next apointment will be in 3 weeks time. An ultrasound was scheduled on the same day. After that visit, my appointment will be every 2 weeks. Then, I will have to go in a week later to do an "O'Sullivan Glucose screening" for gestational diabetes. Wow...everything seems to be moving so quickly.
