I know it has taken a while for me to post this entry. Wanted to do so about 2 weeks ago but things suddenly turned bad again! I'm bleeding again at 12 wks 5 days after not seeing any blood from 10 weeks onward. I had a light flow on the evening and it stopped after 2 hours or so...then nothing until the following week (Friday afternoon). I thought this is not right coz bleeding in second or third trimester can be dangerous. So, I decided to call my OB and they immediately set up an Ultrasound and doc visit for me on the same day. To my surprised, the sonographer told me that there is a "Hematoma" measuring almost 8cm. At first, I wasn't sure what she meant but she was kind enough to tell me that it is a pool of blood outside of the gestational sac. My baby doesn't seems to be affected by that at that time since the size of the baby is slightly smaller than the hematoma.
Dr Matkins told me that I will continue to bleed for the next weeks or months until it is finally gone. However, he seems concern about it. He didn't rule out miscarriage but he thinks that at almost 14 weeks, I'm doing good. Since the visit, I've been bleeding every day until now. I'm 15 wks 3 days as of today and the bleeding was so heavy yesterday and today that my legs were shaking all the time. I just hope it will end soon so that I can enjoy my last pregnancy.
