First of all, let me apologize for not updating my blog for almost 2 months now. Wanted to do so but couldn't find a good time to sit down quietly to write. I am always busy with the girls. If I only have a child, it will be so much easier. Looks like I will need to update everything for the last 2 months.
The girls had their immunization jabs (DTap, Hib, Polio-IPV and Rotovirus) on August 1 and both of them were having slight fever after that. They were so tired after we return home and they slept a lot. I was really worried and didn't sleep at all. Kept taking their temp and giving them infant tylenol every 4 hours to keep it down. They were fine after 2 days....Their next immunization will be on Sept 26.
Charissa was not feeling well since July. She was spitting up a lot, or I would say "vomit"!. Brought her to the pediatrician and she was diagnozed with Gastroesophageal Reflux. This so-called reflux takes place when the sphincter (the valve separating the stomach and the esophagus) is weak so the food can flow upward in the direction from which it came. She was put on medication twice a day to reduce stomach acid and I am feeding her smaller amount each time but more frequently, basically 10-12 times a day...tiring for me but good for her! At times, she will not have appetite to eat...
Both of them were gaining weight very well eventhough Charissa was not eating that well. Charissa was 9lbs 10oz and Cailynn was 10lbs 8oz in early August. They gained about 2 pounds in a month which is very normal.
Have been bringing the girls out to the mall recently. Just want them to get use to seating on a car seat, seeing things and people. Also, the weather in Charlotte is extremely hot and I am taking advantage of the AC in the mall....my girls just fall asleep when we were walking around!!! but of course I stayed there long enough so that they are awake to look around.
Well, I need to go now.....crying babies!!!!!Will write more!
