Finally, my baby girls arrived healthy on May 31, 2007 after a long 18 hours of labor. Both of them were delivered vaginally in the operation room just in case that I need an emergency c-section to deliver the second baby girl.
I went to CMC of Wed evening to get my "cervidil" but after 2 hours, my contractions were too long that I need to stop the medication, fearing that the babies will be stressed. After stopping the medication for approximately 2 hours, my water broke naturally. Luckily, I was in the hospital and not at home. I started to have painful contractions after that and there were getting closer apart. Finally, I couldn't take the pain anymore and decided to get the epidural at around 4:30am. After that, I was much relaxed and was able to sleep better. To get things going, Dr Whitten decided to add Pitocin in my IV. At 2 plus, I was fully dilated and 100% effaced. I started pushing in the delivery suite and when baby A crowned, I was pushed to the OR.
At 3:37pm, baby A (Charissa Yee Xue Ning) was born and weighs 5lbs 3oz and then 15 minutes later at 3:52pm, baby B (Cailynn Yee Xue Ping) entered the world and weighs 5lbs 9oz.
They are so cute and they definitely changed my life forever.
